Boonville, Mo. -

The weather was nearly perfect over the weekend for Boonville to enjoy the first ever Best of Missouri Life Festival.

Put on by Missouri Life Magazine, the festival showcased the best of what Missouri had to offer. With local food and wine, art and reenactors, people from all over were able to experience why so many people call Missouri Home.

Danita Wood, editor-in-chief, of Missouri Life, said they couldn’t be more pleased with the way that the event turned out.

“It was a good turnout for a first year festival,” Wood said.

Although they haven’t had time to figure out how many people actually attended the festival, Wood said there were many visitors from out of town. She said that while sitting in the subscription booth, she took many subscriptions, with all of them coming from out of town.

For the rest of the story, incluing a letter from reenactors, read the Wednesday, May 7 print edition.
