Gumbo Bottoms, A Big Muddy Musical, sponsored by Boonville’s own Turner Hall River Rats for the Arts, will be touring to the Miller Performing Arts Center as part of the Jefferson City Community Concert Association’s summer offerings.

Gumbo Bottoms premiered last November in Thespian Hall and since then has toured to the Showboat Theatre in Hermann and plans are under way to visit Washington, Missouri this fall. Organizations hosting the Missouri River musical have been getting assistance from the Missouri Arts Council with grants that help cover the cost of bringing the 18 member company to their towns.
