Cauthon elected chair of Mid-MO Solid Waste Management District H

The Mid-Missouri Solid Waste Management District H held its annual Executive Board election Wednesday, June 17, 2009. MMSWMD provides planning, technical and financial support in the area of solid waste management for the eight-county region that includes Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Cole, Cooper, Howard, Moniteau and Osage. MMSWMD is governed by the District Council, Executive Board, and Advisory Committee. These local and appointed officials provide guidance in the development of solid waste management policies.


By unanimous vote of the board, the current officers were elected to serve a one-year term, expiring July 1, 2010. Elected were:


• Chair: M.L. Cauthon
• Vice Chair: Frank “Skip” Elkin
• Treasurer: J.C. Miller


Cauthon represents Cooper County where he is the Public Works Director for the City of Boonville. He also serves on the District H Solid Waste Management Advisory Board.
