Boonville – On Friday, Sept. 5, Isle of Capri Casino & Hotel-Boonville presented a $1,000 donation to Missouri Colleges Fund Inc. in Jefferson City, Mo.
The donation was presented by Ken Ostempowski, Isle of Capri's senior director of finance, and accepted by Mike Backer, president of Missouri Colleges Fund Inc. The money will be used for need-based financial aid for qualified students in member colleges.
“It’s wonderful to be able to donate to the scholarship fund and help students all over Missouri receive a college education,” said Ostempowski.
“The Missouri Colleges Fund is very grateful for this gift from the Isle of Capri,” said Backer. “The Isle of Capri recognizes the importance of education and significant impact that an educated workforce has on Missouri’s economy.”
