Officers selected for Ashby-Hodge Gallery of American Art

The Ashby-Hodge Gallery of American Art at Central Methodist University has selected its Board of Directors for the 2009-10 academic year, announced Gallery Curator Joseph E. Geist.


They are William (Bill) Kountz of Fayette, president; Dr. Henry Graham of Fayette, vice president; Stephanie Lewis of Glasgow, secretary-treasurer; members-at-large, Tom Ashby of Kansas City, Anna Mae Hodge of Kansas City, Thomas Yancey of Fayette, David Inman of Fayette, Virginia Monroe of Fayette, Janet Jacobs of Fayette, Jim Rogers of Columbia, Ann Parks of Keytesville; and continuing as curator, Dr. Joseph E. (Joe) Geist of Fayette.


The Ashby-Hodge Gallery of American Art officially opened its doors on the campus of Central Methodist University on Oct. 29, 1993. It is named in honor of the late Dr. and Mrs. Lawrence D. Ashby of Pekin, Ill., who donated the main collection, and Dr. and Mrs. Robert H. Hodge, long-time residents of Kansas City, Mo., who are special benefactors along with the CMU Class of 1943.
