Boonville, Mo. -

The following is a brief of the story. For the full version, see the Tuesday, Sept. 23 print edition of the BDN.

The United Way team at the Isle of Capri Casino in Boonville worked to help Virgil and Marsha Goodin clean and make necessary repairs to the Harvest House on Monday.

“It’s called a ‘Day of Caring,’” said Marsha Goodin, resident manager of Harvest House.
“United Way has their ‘Day of Caring’ and the team from the Isle of Capri wasn’t able to come on the original date that United Way sets, so today is their ‘Day of Caring.’”

Goodin said the team planned to pull weeds, put up ceiling fans, replace a ceiling, paint and clean some of the furniture.
