Just one regular refund check from Cooper County was returned to the Internal Revenue Service because of mailing address errors, according to an e-mail from an IRS spokesman.
"We want to get this money to the people it belongs to," stated Michael Devine, with IRS media relations for Missouri and Kansas, in a news release.
A check intended for Bryan M. Simpson of Blackwater was the only Cooper County check returned to the IRS because of mailing errors, Devine stated.
