Boonville, Mo. -

With world-wide hunger on the rise, the Boonville post-office is doing their part to help stop hunger by participating in a nation-wide food drive known as National Association of Letter Carriers’ (NALC) “Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.”

In conjunction with the United States Postal Service, non-perishable items will be collected on Saturday, May 10. Those in Boonville who wish to donate, are asked to have non-perishable items such as canned meats and fish, canned soup, juice, pasta, vegetables, cereal and rice by their mailboxes or on their porches by 9 a.m.

The drive, in its 16th year, is the largest one-day food collection in the nation and the biggest community service effort by any union affiliated with the AFL-CIO.
