The Boonville Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved the final site plan for Kemper Village Homes at a meeting Tuesday night.
The developers for the project had been asked to clear up several issues, including an easement agreement with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources that would enable routine maintenance to be performed nearby.
Kemper Village is to be located on Ashley Road and will feature 32 houses available to those who make 60 percent or less of the Cooper County median family income, and eight homes to people of any income level.
The DNR has given Kemper Village LP verbal consent to use part of the Katy Trail right-of-way “to construct, own and maintain a retaining wall along the easement line,” according to a letter sent to City Counselor Megan McGuire and signed by Dawn Fredrickson of the DNR.
