The following is a brief of the story. For the full version, see the Thursday, May 21 print edition of the BDN.

Boonville will get a number of special guests over the Memorial Day weekend when the Pedaler’s Jamboree rolls into town.

Pedaler’s Jamboree sounds like “bicyclist music,” and that’s a good description for the event that will take place on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24. Bicyclists will be pedaling into Boonville’s Kemper Park for some rest and entertainment Saturday evening after touring the 30 scenic miles from Columbia’s Flat Branch Park for the Pedaler’s Jamboree music festival.

The event was organized and promoted by Off Track Events from Columbia and is expected to attract anywhere from 300 to 500 participants who will be riding the Katy Trail from Columbia, arriving in Boonville Saturday evening. The riders will enjoy miles of beautiful scenery along the trail and some attractive locations to enjoy live music and entertainment along the way. Bands will play throughout the day on staggered schedules at various locations along the trail.
