Columbia College's Career Fair will be held Wednesday, March 10 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Southwell Gym located on Rangeline Street on the college's campus. The event, hosted by the institutions' Career Services Center, is a unique opportunity for students to put their job search and interviewing skills to the test as more than 60 businesses will be in attendance to discuss possible job opportunities.
"This really is a great way for our students to brush elbows with companies looking to hire good talent," said Don Malson, director, Career Services. "We continue to have great support from the community and are hopeful that our event will help connect students with prospects."
The Career Services Center offers a broad range of services to students, alumni, faculty and the Columbia community. From resume and cover letter writing, and on campus recruiting, to mock interviews, graduate school search assistance and access to career and employment information, the programs are designed to help everyone successfully achieve their personal and professional goals.
"We have an array of businesses that will be joining us," mentioned Malson. "Boy Scouts of America, U.S Cellular, Boone County National Bank, Edward Jones, State Farm and Shelter Insurance to name only a few of our representatives."
