Boonville R-1 School District to hold event in conjunction with Festival of the Lights to bring more awareness to bullying.

BOONVILLE – In a show of the partnership spirit that resonates throughout the community the Boonville R-1 School District’s Bullying Advisory Committee will host the B.R.E.A.K. Out Boonville event on September 14 from 6-8 p.m.

This event will be held in conjunction with the Festival of Lights and hosted on the green space across from WJ’s. B.R.E.A.K. Out Boonville is a community engagement opportunity to bring awareness to bullying in our community.

There will be food, soda, games, a bounce house, face painting and a dunk booth. The event will also feature speakers to discuss the issue of bullying in our community. The speakers will include local Boonville students and Dr. Chad Rose, Mizzou Bullying Lab.

Many community organizations will be teaming up with the school district during the event.
