The Boonville Police Department will begin vigorously enforcing the Boonville parking ordinance that was passed in 1990.

“As we have a new parking Enforcement Officer hired we will begin enforcing this ordinance,” Boonville Police Chief Bobby Welliver stated.

According to the Boonville Parking Ordinance, a two-hour parking restriction was imposed in the downtown area in 1990 and designated areas were identified to accommodate the on-street parking needs of the business/retail community.

The following is restricted parking between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday,

• The south side of High Street, east of Main Street and west of the 500 block of the alley placed immediately east of the Cooper County Courthouse.

• Both the east and west sides of the 200 through 500 blocks of Main Street, south of High Street and north of Vine Street.

• Both the north and south sides of the 400 and 500 blocks of Morgan Street, east of the alley between Fourth and Main Streets and west of Sixth Street.

• Both the north and south sides of the 400 and 500 blocks of Spring Street, east of Fourth Street and west of Sixth Street.

• Both the north and south sides of the 400 and 500 blocks of Chestnut Street, east of the alley between Fourth Street and Main Street and west of Sixth Street.

• The north side of Court Street from Main Street (Fifth Street) east to Sixth Street.
