Cheyenne Schuster was crowned Cooper County Queen Wednesday night during the opening of the Cooper County Fair.
Eight young women vied for the distinction, but ultimately, Schuster was chosen.
“I’m so excited. I was not expecting this,” Schuster said.
She was also thankful for 2016 Cooper County Fair Queen Amber Carmichael who also crowned her.
“These are big shoes to fill,” Schuster said in mentioning Carmichael.
Schuster also wanted to thank those who have helped her during this time. Among other women awarded during the evening were Lindsey Harris who received Miss Congeniality. The top speech and interview award was given to Schuster. Second runner up was Jessica Luscombe while the first runner up was Amber Oerly.
