The University of Missouri Center for Agroforestry will offer a live video stream of its inaugural Agroforestry Research Symposium, Wednesday, Jan. 6, at 9 a.m.
Agroforestry—the practice of integrating trees and shrubs with traditional agriculture—provides habitat for wildlife; diversifies farm income; and improves air, water and soil quality.
The keynote speaker will be Andy Mason, interim director of the USDA National Agroforestry Center, who will speak on “Agroforestry in America: New opportunities for a sustainable future.”
To view the live stream of the event, go to http://www.more.net/content/streamed-events. A test stream is available at that site as well as contact information for those encountering technical difficulties. After the event, a recording of the symposium will be available on the UMCA’s Web site at http://www.centerforagroforestry.org.
