The Boonville Pirates wrestling team will begin what is the biggest tournament of the season tonight at Clinton High School.

Although the tournament will last two days, the Pirate wrestlers know that if you lose more than two matches now your season is over.

While competing in the Class 2 District 3 Tournament Friday and Saturday at Clinton High School, head coach Christian Stock said he thought the pairings went well.

“We did well in the pairings and I think it puts the majority of our wrestlers in a position to take advantage of their placement,” Stock said. “It’s districts and anything can happen.”

Teams competing in the tournament along with Boonville are: Bolivar, Buffalo, Clinton, Harrisonville, Logan-Rogersville, Marshall, Monett, Nevada, Odessa, Osage, Pleasant Hill, Reeds Springs, Seneca and St. Francis Borgia.
