WEATHER UPDATE: Dense fog possible for Cooper and Howard counties

Drivers in Cooper and Howard counties should be cautious amid possible sections of dense fog tonight and into Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

The two counties are named along with numerous other Missouri counties and cities, and locations in Kansas, in a hazardous weather outlook statement issued by the Weather Service this afternoon.

Tonight's Boonville forecast calls for a 20 percent chance of rain, winds under 10 mph and a low of about 45 degrees, the Weather Service stated. Sunny weather, winds under 10 mph and a high near 58 degrees is expected on Saturday, and a low of about 45 degrees with winds of about 10 mph is expected for Saturday night.

Warm weather is expected to return on Sunday, when partly sunny skies and winds of about 10 mph are expected, according to the Weather Service.
