SHELBYVILLE, Mo. – Unbeaten Tri-Rivers Conference champion Milan earned the top honors on the all-conference football team announced today.

John Dabney was named Coach of the Year and running back/linebacker Cooper Bankus was named Player of the Year.

Bankus and tight end/defensive end/punter Codi Fordyce were Milan players who made first-team at multiple positions. Other Milan first-team selections were senior offensive lineman Alex Oder and junior offensive lineman Zack Doak, junior defensive tackle Mason Thompson, sophomore linebacker Aaron Richardson and senior defensive back Mason Clark.

Conference runner-up Scotland County first-team selections were senior wide receiver/kicker Harley Stone and senior defensive back Brock Bondurant. Schuyler County’s first-team choices were senior running back Dakota Schmitter and junior defensive tackle Garrett Wilson.

Making it for Putnam County were senior quarterback Brett Thomas, senior offensive lineman/defensive end Dakota Valentine and senior linebacker Joel Hinkle. Knox placed senior offensive lineman/linebacker Jon Harder and senior defensive back/returner Leighton McCabe on first-team.

Second-team picks were, on offense, quarterbacks Bondurant and McCabe, Milan senior running back Brad Hisel, Knox County sophomore running back Donovan Edwards, tight end Clark, Putnam County junior wide receiver Damien Gilworth, Knox County senior wide receiver Sharri Edwards, Scotland County senior offensive lineman Taylor Rader, offensive lineman Wilson, Putnam County freshman offensive lineman Riley Wood, and Milan junior offensive linemen Nathan McCabe and Chapin Mendenhall.

Second-team defensive selections were Scotland County senior defensive tackles William Madsen and Rader, defensive ends Oder and Scotland County sophomore Jed Troutman, linebackers Stone, Schuyler County senior Joey Antal and Schmitter, defensive backs Thomas, Schuyler County junior Dalton Shively and Milan junior Marcus Shipley.

Specialists were punter Stone, Milan freshman kicker Raul Palacios and returner Hisel.
