After pitching one of the best game of the season last night at home against the Marshall Lady Owls in NCMC action at Rolling Hills park, Boonville senior pitcher Maria Imhoff felt like there was definitely room for improvement.

Although the Lady Owls broke up a no-hitter in the sixth with a single to center, Imhoff still managed to strikeout 10 batters while giving up just one walk and one hit for her sixth win of the season in a 10-0 victory.
The Lady Pirates also improved to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in the conference with the win over Marshall.

“We are playing good ball at the way around right now,” said Boonville softball coach Christie Zoeller. “We definitely did a great job at the plate all the way through our lineup. We are hitting the ball hard and that’s what we need to keep doing. Maria did an excellent job on the mound. She completely dominated the circle keeping their batters off-balance. Our defense did a great job as well.”
