Brian Lambert

Brian Lambert, third from the left in the front row, organized Weyland Fest 2010, which happened last weekend in Boonville. While he is not a member of the Weyland family, his efforts linked more than 30 descendants of Louis Weyland, a Boonville settler.

Brian Lambert contacted Jennifer Durham in his efforts to connect the branches of a Weyland family tree in which he had no roots. His  family name had not been changed or dropped. He just wasn’t related. Their communication was one piece of Lambert’s work that became a website  chronicling the Boonville family’s history and a reunion last weekend in the city that joined relatives who had never met.

Jim Weyland, the owner of Weyalnd’s Furniture in Boonville, represents the only known family member to still live in Boonville.

The fest featured visits to Ravenswood, family gravesites at Walnut Grove Cemetery and a dinner in Boonville. At the meal, the family presented Brian with a plaque making him an honorary Weyland cousin.
