Boonville, Mo. -

Boonville had a special guest on Tuesday as Karen Davis, Taste of Home Culinary Specialist, presented the Taste of Home Cooking School at the Isle of Capri Casino banquet room.

The event, sponsored by the BDN, brought in more than 600 visitors. Those without a ticket also had the opportunity to visit vendor booths between 1 and 4 p.m. More than 150 people took advantage of the session.

The doors opened to ticketholders at 5:30 p.m., but by 4:15 p.m. people were already lining up – hoping to get the best seat in the house. Once inside, people were invited to visit each booth and sample the best of what they had to offer. Most had a sampling of snacks and some even had games.
