The Boonville Pirates fourth grade basketball team finished the Boonville Tournament with a record of 1-2 on March 1-5.
In the opening game against Southern Boone, the Pirates won by a score of 18-11.
In that game, DeAndre Wesolak had four points, five rebounds and one assist for Boonville, who led Southern Boone 10-2 after first period’s end.
Jamesian McKee finished the game with four points and five rebounds while Treveon Coleman added four points, three rebounds and one assist, Memphis Waibel with two points, one rebound and one assist, Austin Coleman with two points and one rebound, Luke Green also with two points, Chandler Stonecipher with three rebounds, Cade Schupp with two rebounds and Hayden Tarr with one assist.
In the second game on Saturday, March 1, the Boonville Pirates fell to Mexico 32-26.
Wesolak had seven points and five rebounds in the game for Boonville, who led Mexico 17-14 at the end of the first quarter but was outscored 16-9 in the second.
Coleman finished the game with six points, four rebounds and one assist while Waibel added five points, two rebounds and one assist, McKee with four points and eight rebounds, Green with two points and four rebounds, Stonecipher also with two points, two assists and one rebound, Tarr with four rebounds, Schupp with three rebounds and Coleman with one rebound and one assist.
In the game on March 5, the Pirates dropped a three-point decision against the Columbia Storm 19-16.
Boonville trailed 10-6 after first period’s end but outscored Columbia Storm 10-9 in the second quarter.
Waibel had the high game for Boonville with six points, one rebound and one assist.
McKee added four points and six rebounds while Wesolak chipped in two points and six rebounds, Coleman with two points, two assists and one rebound, Schupp with two points and two rebounds and Stonecipher with two rebounds.
