  • BOONVILLE–Candidate filing for Cooper County offices began Tuesday February 25 at 8 a.m. in the Cooper County Clerk’s office. Cooper County Clerk, Darryl Kempf and Voter Registration Clerk, Marcia Imhoff processed filings for several candidates from 8 a.m. until 10:30 am. Additional filings continued during the week.
    The incumbents who have filed to fill their current positions are Darryl Kempf for County Clerk; Carol Nauman for Cooper County Collector of Revenue; Douglas Abele for Cooper County Prosecuting Attorney; Nancy Fisher for Cooper County Circuit Clerk and Ex-Officio Recorder of Deeds and Keith M. Bail for Cooper County Associate Circuit Judge.
    Incumbents, Eddie Brickner, Cooper County Presiding Commissioner and Stanley Serck, Cooper County Treasurer did not file. They had previously announced they would not be running for another term of office.
    Marcia Imhoff and Gayle Linneman have filed for County Treasurer.
    Millie A Rhode, Mark Livingston and Don (Donnie) Baragary have filed for the position of Presiding Commissioner.
    The Primary Election date is August 5, 2014. The General Election is November 4, 2014.
