Lion's Club raises $3,316.50 at annual auction

The 42nd Annual Boonville Lion's Club Auction could be heard on KWRT 1370 AM Radio or seen on Suddenlink Cable or at as club members auctioned off items at Rick Ball's Auto Mall in Boonville. The auction raised $3,316.50 for causes around the community.
While Tuesday completed the first half of the auction, it will resume on Thursday with the second half. Boonville Lion's Club member Gene Cummins voiced his appreciation to area businesses for donations to the club that allows them to raise funds to benefit the Boonville community in general.
During the evening, Derendinger Auction Service provided the voice behind the items being auctioned. Many items went beyond value and individuals who bid above value will receive a rain gauge from Thacher-Wood Funeral Home.  
The next auction will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday and can be viewed by following the links at or by following the links on the Boonville Daily News Facebook page. Suddenlink Channel three will also be showing the auction live while KWRT will be broadcasting it over the airwaves.
