Neighbors Helping Neighbors receive large food donation

Neighbors Helping Neighbors received 3,000 pounds of food from Caterpillar who held a food drive to benefit the local food pantry. The food arrived Thursday afternoon.
Neighbors Helping Neighbors President Chuck Harris said the food will help the pantry for the next three months. He was very happy of the food quality received.
“This donation could not have come at a better time with the Holidays coming up,” Harris said.
He said there is usually more demand this time of the year and now since there has been a reduction in food stamps, demand has increased that much more.
Harris said it took one hour to sort the food, which he was very thankful for.
He also wanted to thank businesses such as Walmart as well who donate food on a regular basses as well.
