  • Boonville 4th grade prevails over Columbia Raiders, Cowboys

  • The Boonville Pirates fourth grade football team finished the season with a perfect record of 10-0 by beating the Columbia Cowboys 20-0 on Tuesday, Oct. 22nd and Columbia Raiders 16-13 on Sunday, Oct. 27th.
    In the game against the Cowboys, Lane Keeran led the Pirates with 61 yards rushing along with one touchdown and two extra points.
    Jamesion McKee finished the game with 42 yards and one touchdown while Traveon Coleman added 16 yards rushing with one touchdown.
    On defense, Traveon Coleman led the Pirates with five solo tackles while DeAndre Wesolak and Cade Schupp had four solo tackles each, Daylan Shelton with three solo tackles, Austin Sandbothe, Jamesion McKee and Memphis Waibel all with two solo tackles each and Hunter Tarr and Aidan Meyer with one solo tackle apiece.
    In the game against the Columbia Raiders, Jamesion McKee led the Pirates with 31 yards rushing, 11 yards receiving and one touchdown while Hunter Tarr had 17 yards rushing and one touchdown.
    On defense, DeAndre Wesolak had three solo stops while Austin Sandbothe added three solo tackles, Hunter Tarr, Daylan Shelton, Marcus Connelly and Memphis Waibel each with two solo tackles and Chandler Stonecipher and Cade Schupp with one solo tackle each.
    The Boonville Pirates sixth grade football team also hit the field twice last week but finished on the losing end in a 21-7 setback against the Columbia Rams on Thursday, Oct. 24th and the Columbia 49’ers 34-6 on Sunday, Oct. 27th.
    In the game against the Rams, Charles Perry led the Pirates with 10 carries for 68 yards and one touchdown while Elijah Pinkett added five carries for 8 yards and Gavin Bishop with one carry for 3 yards.
    Meanwhile, on defense, Josh Polk led the Pirates with three solo stops, five assisted tackles and one sack while Elijah Carter added three solo stops and four assisted tackles, Trammel Coleman with one solo stop and five assisted tackles, Carson Bail with one solo stop and three assisted tackles, Peyton Keeran with two solo stops and two assisted tackles, Clint Moore with two solo stops and one assisted tackle, Charles Perry and Nick Ferrari each with one solo stop and two assisted tackles, Brady Stock and Elijah Pinkett with three assisted tackles each, Russell Potter with two assisted tackles and Gavin Bishop, Jake Horst, Adam Lester, Ethan Huntsperger, Colton Scott and Blake Paulson with one assisted tackle apiece.
    In the game against the 49’ers, Tyson Franklin had 85 rushing yards while Elijah Pinkett finished the game with 33 yards rushing and one touchdown.
    Nick Ferrari, meanwhile, completed a 25-yard pass to Josh Polk.
    On defense, Trammel Coleman led the Pirates with three solo stops and six assisted tackles while Elijah Pinkett added two solo stops and four assisted tackles, Josh Polk five unassisted tackles, Charles Perry two solo stops and three assisted tackles, Peyton Keeran three solo stops, Russell Potter one solo stop and one assisted tackle, Gage Sprigg, Jake Horst, Nick Ferrari, Tyson Franklin, Clint Moore and Ethan Huntsperger each with two solo stops, Chance Hamilton with one unassisted tackle and one fumble recovery and Gavin Bishop with one unassisted tackle.
    Page 2 of 2 - Elijah Pinkett also had one kick off return for 13 yards while Peyton Keeran returned a kick off 10 yards.
    In the only other game reported, the Boonville Pirates fifth grade football team fell to Jefferson City PAL 39-19 on Sunday, Oct. 27th.
