The Lady Spartans varsity girls golf team was one of 11 schools that competed Thursday at the Chillicothe Invitational, and Moberly tied Lawson’s squad turning in identical 397 scores. However, the tiebreaker being used put the Lady Spartans in fourth place.
Richmond High School carded the lowest team score, a 375 while Kirksville finished second with a 391. Fifth place went to Pembroke Hill having a 405 score.
Individual medalist on the par-72 course was Maddie Probst of Lawson with a 75. Serena Berrey and Emily Van Rie, both of Kirksville, followed with scores of 82 and 83 respectively.
Meanwhile, Moberly junior Nichole Marquis finished with an 86 to place fourth overall among 55 golfers, and senior Becca Burkart was 8th with a 94.
Other Moberly scores were; Callie Robinson 19th (106), Harley Backe 23rd (111) and Morgan Cordeman 30th (114).
