The Boonville boys and girls cross-country team had another great outing last night while competing against a field of 23 teams in the Oak Grove Invitational.
While no team standings were available as of press time today, head coach Emily Allsop said all returning runners from last season beat their time from Oak Grove last year by anywhere from 1-7 minutes.
“Oak Grove is a difficult course, and our runners did an excellent job of maintaining their goal pace and finishing in their goal time,” Allsop said. “We did not place as a team, but we are earning some personal best times and we are off to a great start as we prepare for the Fulton meet next Saturday.”
On the girls side for Boonville, junior Holly Krumm finished 11th overall out of 54 runners in a time of 23 minutes and 13 seconds.
Allsop said Krumm was the only member of the Lady Pirates cross-country team to earn a medal.
