Boonville woman involved in serious accident

A Boonville woman was rushed to University Hospital in Columbia after a an accident on Highway 5 Thursday morning.
The accident occurred when a 73 year-old Fayette man, John Grigsby, was traveling southbound, crossed the center lane and hit a 66 year-old Boonville woman, Pam Davis, who was traveling northbound. Davis's vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a ditch. Grigsby's vehicle traveled off the left side of the road.
Both individuals were transported to University Hospital with serious injuries. The two vehicles involved received extensive damage.
