Barbecue to benefit Saints Peter and Pau

A barbecue will be held on August 18 between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. at Knights of Columbus Hall located at 1515 Radio Hill Road.
The barbecue will benefit Saints Peter and Paul's Capital Campaign, which will help provide funds in paving the new parking lot.
According to Saints Peter and Paul School Principal Alan Lammers, a lot of work goes into this event. Medical Arts Pharmacy is the sponsor of this year’s event. Lammers said they have contributed a lot throughout the years and offer to help any time they are needed.
"Medical Arts is a huge supporter of the school and parish," Lammers said.
He said the event raises tens-of-thousands of dollars each year since it began four years ago.
The food served will include ribs, pulled pork, bratwurst, hotdogs, cole slaw and baked beans.
Adult meals will cost $10 while kid meals will cost $8. Children five and under eat free. Carry-outs will also be available along with advanced order delivery by calling 660-537-3338.
The event will include carnival games, an inflatable bounce house, horse painting, event T-shirts, adult beverages and more.
"I urge everyone to come out, the weather will be beautiful," Lammers said.
