The Boonville 8-year-old All-Stars had a short stay while competing in the Missouri State Machine Pitch Tournament over the weekend in Charleston.
While dropping their first game of the tournament Friday night against Mineral Area 3-1, the Boonville 8 All-Stars came back and suffered their second straight loss on Saturday against Kennett by a score of 18-8.
In the loss to MABA, Bryson Wessing, Dakota Williams, Connor Acton and Isaac Marriott each had two singles while Lane Keeran tripled and Maxwell Eckerle, Colby Caton and Jordan Fishburn each singled.
Meanwhile, in the game against Kennett, the Boonville 8 All-Stars trailed 5-0 after one, 10-4 after two and 16-4 after three. Meanwhile, in the fourth, the Boonville 8 All-Stars outscored Kennett 4-2.
Maxwell Eckerle led the hitting attack in the game for Boonville with a single and a home run. Lane Keeran finished the game with a single and a double while Colby Caton, Bayleigh Warren, Bryson Wessing, Dakota Williams and Jordan Fishburn added two singles and Isiah  Hauptmann with one single.
