KFC-A&W game moved to Monday, July 8th

In a single game only Wednesday night in Junior Babe Ruth action at Twillman field in Harley park, CARSTAR powered its way past KWRT by a score of 17-7 in five innings.
While KFC and A&W were scheduled to play in the nightcap on Wednesday, that game was moved to Monday, July 8th at 8 p.m.
As for the CARSTAR-KWRT game, pitcher Regan Meisenheimer took over the contest literally for CARSTAR by pitching his team to a one hit and one walk performance in three innings. He also struck out five batters for the victory.
Of course Meisenheimer didn’t stop there. While CARSTAR out-hit KWRT 13-5, Meisenheimer also led the team in hitting by going 2-for-3 with two singles, one triple and three RBIs while scoring four runs.
CARSTAR also finished the game with four players with at least two hits while a total of eight players had hits in the game against KWRT.
Needless to say, CARSTAR jumped out to stay against KWRT by pushing across three runs in the first on a two-run error and one again in the second on a RBI-single by Jake Esser to go up 4-0.
But then to make matters worse, CARSTAR came back and broke the game wide open by exploding for eight runs in the third, which all started with a single by Garrett Gamel to extend the lead to 12-0.
CARSTAR put the game on cruise after that while allowing KWRT to rally back with two runs in its half of the fourth to avoid the shutout.
However it was just too much CARSTAR on this night while answering with two runs in the bottom-half of the inning to make it 14-2. Then, after KWRT erupted for five runs in the top-half of the fifth, CARSTAR came back and plated three more runs in the bottom-half of the inning to win by the mercy rule.
J.T. Washington pitched 1 1/3 innings in relief for CARSTAR and gave up seven runs, three earned, on four hits and three walks. Then, to finish the game, Arliss Caldwell pitched 2/3 inning in relief and walked two while striking out one.
As for KWRT, they weren’t so fortunate while going through four different pitchers in just five innings.
Ethan Waibel took the loss on the hill for KWRT and yielded eight runs, two earned, on six hits. Dalton Vaughn then came in and pitched 2/3 innings and issued four runs, none earned, on two hits while striking out one. Meanwhile, after Colten Bruce pitched one inning and gave up two runs, none earned, on three hits while striking out one batter, Jordan Hulbert came in and pitched 2/3 inning and allowed three runs, none earned, on one hit and one walk while striking out one batter.
Supporting Meisenheimer at the plate for CARSTAR were Garrett Gamel with two singles, three RBIs and three runs scored while Jake Esser added two singles, two RBIs and two runs scored, Alex Wright with two singles and two runs scored, Jamin Washington with one triple and two RBIs, Thomas Simmons and Ben Eichelberger each with a RBI-single and one run scored, Nicholas Nixon with one single and one run scored, Brady Yates with two runs scored and Hunter Spaedy with one run scored.
For KWRT, Dalton Vaughn went 2-for-3 with two singles and two runs scored. Brady Gholson and Isaac Lorenz each had one single and scored one run while Nick Ewings added one single, Ben Horst with one RBI and two runs scored and Tret Loesing with one RBI and one run scored.
