  • Einspahr wins season finale against A-Bow-K

  • Einspahr Construction had its hands full against A-Bow-K, at least for 2 1/2 innings, Saturday in the regular season finale at Harley park.
    Leading 5-4 after two and 7-4 after 2 1/2, A-Bow-K looked to be well on its way to pulling off the upset against Einspahr Construction. However, in the bottom-half of the third, Einspahr Construction took the lead for good by exploding for five runs to go up 9-7. Then, after A-Bow-K plated another run in the fourth to cut the lead to one at 9-8, Einspahr Construction came back and broke the game wide open with five runs in the fifth for a 14-8 victory.
    Einspahr Construction closed out the season at 12-4 overall while A-Bow-K finished at 2-14.
    Kayle Rice picked up the win on the mound for Einspahr Construction while Spencer Steakley took the loss for A-Bow-K.
    Drew Sanders started the game for Einspahr Construction and gave up six runs on three hits and three walks while striking out three. Rice then came in and pitched 1 1/3 innings in relief and allowed two runs on one hit and four walks while striking out three. Then, to finish the game, Cody Garner pitched one inning and struck out one batter.
    For A-Bow-K, Charlie Bronakowski pitched one-plus inning and gave up four runs on two hits and four walks while striking out two. Spencer Steakley then came in and pitched 2 1/3 innings in relief and allowed five runs on five hits and four walks while striking out four. Then, to finish the game, Hunter Tarr pitched 1 2/3 innings and issued five runs on five hits while striking out one.
    Einspahr Construction also out-hit A-Bow-K 12-4, with Cody Garner going 4-for-4 with two doubles, two triples and four RBIs.
    Kayle Rice was 2-for-2 with a double and a triple while Colten Collyott added a single, triple and one RBI, Andrew Wiser with two singles, Darian Williams with a RBI-single and Drew Sanders with one single.
    For A-Bow-K, Harper Stock went 2-for-3 with two singles while Charlie Bronakowski added a double and two RBIs and Spencer Steakley with one single.
