Boone County Bank exploded for five runs in the second inning to beat Boonville Caterpillar 7-4 in Midget League action Tuesday night at Kemper park.
BCB, 3-2 on the season, led 5-2 after two and then matched Caterpillar with two runs in the third for the victory.
Lane Keeran picked up the win on the mound for BCB while Austin Rice took the loss for Caterpillar. Keeran pitched the first-two innings and struck out five batters while walking six and hitting one. Cameron Poulsen recorded the save for BCB by striking out two batters and giving up one walk in one inning.    
Rice, meanwhile, pitched the first-two innings for Caterpillar, 2-2-1 on the season, and surrendered five runs on four hits and four walks while striking out five.
BCB also out-hit Caterpillar 6-2, with Benjamin Lutz going 2-for-3 with a single, double and one RBI. Tyson White was 1-for-2 with a double and two RBIs while Cameron Poulsen and Lane Keeran added one single and two RBIs each and Brayden Gamel with one single.
For Caterpillar, Alex Elliott went 1-for-2 with a double and two RBIs while Luke Green had one single.
