C&R Market rallied from a 1-0 deficit after two inning by exploding for five runs in the bottom-half of the third for a 5-4 win over Boone County Bank Wednesday night in Midget League action at Kemper park.
C&R Market, improving to 1-2 on the season, gave up one run in the top-half of the second before rallying back with five runs in the third inning to go up by a score of 5-1. Meanwhile, in the fourth, Boone County Bank plated three runs in cut the lead to one at 5-4 but would get no closer to suffer the loss.
Henry Rohrbach picked up the win on the mound for C&R Market while Ben Lutz took the loss for Boone County Bank, who dropped to 2-2 on the season.
Rohrbach pitched one inning in relief of starter Zane Johanning and struck out four batters while giving up one run on one hit while walking six. Conner Thoma then came in and pitched one inning in relief for the save and issued three runs on three hits and three walks while striking out three.
For BCB, Lutz pitched 2/3 inning in relief for starter Cameron Poulsen  and yielded four runs on four walks while striking out two.
Conner Thoma also went 1-for-2 in the game for C&R Market with a double and two RBIs while Ryan Dell had one single.
For BCB, Brayden Gamel, Tyson White and Ben Lutz each had a RBI-single.
