Custom Weatherproofing beats Phillip Imhoff Construction 11-2
Fuemmeler Furniture Refinishing won in convincing fashion last night in Babe Ruth 8U softball against 87 Diner by a score of 12-0.
FFR, 3-1 on the season, scored four runs in each of the first-three innings to garner the victory.
FFR also out-hit 87 Diner 18-4, with Lexi Maddex and Addy Brownfield each going 3-for-3 with two singles and one double. Ashley Pickens and Ava Parman also had three hits, all of which went for singles, while Abby Fuemmeler and Alexis Schnetzler added two singles each and Kenley Fox and Mary Yung with one single apiece.
For 87 Diner, who dropped to 2-2 on the season, Alyssa Gross went 2-for-2 with two singles while Emma West added one double and Mackenzie Parish with one single.
In the nightcap, Custom Weatherpoofing led Phillip Imhoff Construction from start to finish for a 11-2 victory.
CWP, 1-3 on the season, opened the game with five runs in the bottom-half of the first and then sent six runs across in the second to go up 11-0. Meanwhile, in the fourth, PIC sent two runs across.
CWP also out-hit PIC 15-8, with Haley James going 2-for-2 with a single and a double. McKenzie Drew, Lashala Korte, Skylar Andrews and Amera Wright each had two singles while Emily Gibson, Kendall Rhorer, Abby Pannell, Odessa Bechtel and Addison Ward added one single each.
For PIC, who dropped to 1-3 overall, Terianna Eckerle had one single and one double while Grace Williams added two singles and Kasie Northern, Kailey Biesemeyer, Kylee Turner, Molly Schuster and Mariah Miner each with one single.
