Creations by Diana scored six runs in the first-two innings and never looked back, beating Citizen’s Community Bank 16-1 in Babe Ruth 10U softball Wednesday at Lions park.
Creations by Diana, who improved to 4-1 on the season, led CCB 6-0 after one and 12-1 after two before pushing across four more runs in the third.
Meredith Stumbaugh pitched all three innings for Creations by Diana  and struck out seven batters while giving up one run on four walks.
For CCB, who dropped to 2-4 on the season, Abby Maupin pitched the first-two innings and gave up 12 runs on four hits and 10 walks. Taylor Simmons then came in and pitched one inning in relief and issued four runs on one hit and four walks.
Creations by Diana also out-hit CCB 5-0, with Logan Root going 2-for-2 with a single, double and three RBIs. Jodie Bass was 1-for-1 with one single and two RBIs while Meredith Stumbaugh added a single and one RBI, Kathryn Anderson with one single and Kasey Terrell with one RBI.
In the nightcap, Walmart defeated CARSTAR by a score of 15-5.
Walmart, 2-4 on the season, led CARSTAR 5-3 after one, 11-3 after two and 13-3 after three. Meanwhile, in the fourth inning, CARSTAR plated two runs in the top-half of the inning only to have Walmart rally back with two in the bottom-half of the inning.
Brooke Eichelberger pitched the first-four innings and struck out 10 batters while giving up five runs on three hits and five walks. For CARSTAR, Krista Monnig pitched the first-two innings and yielded 11 runs on five hits and 11 walks while striking out two. Alexis Albin then came in and pitched two innings in relief and issued four runs on six walks while striking out two.
Walmart also had five hits in the game, with Brooke Eichelberger adding a double and three RBIs. LaDonna Washington also doubled while Bryanna Jones and Rachel Massa added one single and one RBI each and Jordan Birk with one single.
For CARSTAR, Kennedy Renfrow had a single and three RBIs while Jocelyn Dalton added one single and two RBIs and Krista Monnig with one single.
