  • Boonville — Jennifer Schenck will be teaching “Pinterest for Business and Personal Use” at the Boonslick Technical Institute today, 7 -9 p.m. Schenck is currently the director of marketing for Midwest Computech in Columbia. She attended William Jewell College in Liberty and obtained a BA in International Business and Spanish. She has worked for IBM Kansas City, IBM Dallas, EnergyLink of Columbia and owned two small businesses in the Dallas area (a children's boutique and an ice cream shop).
    Schenck and her husband Andrew have two children in the Boonville school district, a daughter Jamie who is 10 years old and a son Will who is six years old.
    Schenck uses Pinterest for business and personal use. On the business side, she has helped numerous small businesses expand their social media presence and obtain better SEO (Search Engine Optimization) results through the use of social media and inbound marketing tactics. Schenck also enjoys using Pinterest as a search engine for recipes, organization ideas, crafts, party themes, home decorating inspiration and more. Schenck says “Pinterest has helped me to become a better wife, mom, housekeeper, friend, cook, crafter, decorator and businesswoman. Plus, it’s a lot of fun!”
    During this week’s class, Schenck will help those interested in Pinterest sign up for the online application, and get started with their new Pinterest addiction. Those that have been using Pinterest for a while are also invited to attend and are sure to learn something new about Pinterest.
    Schenck will also be teaching a Disney Vacation Planning class on Tuesday, June 11 at 7 p.m. at BTEC. Schenck and her family enjoy traveling to DisneyWorld every other year and are Disney Vacation Club Members. She will share tips and tricks to plan a great trip, navigate the crowds, and find the best deals at the parks.
    Another Extreme Couponing class will be held on Tuesday, June 11 at 7 p.m.
