Einspahr Construction edges BDN 7-6; BRM beats Rt. B Cafe 1
In the only game Sunday night in Cal Ripken Minor, A-Bow-K improved to 2-1 on the season by turning back Rt. B Cafe 21-13.
While out-hitting Rt. B Cafe 9-8, A-Bow-K also led 4-0 after one, 7-0 after two, 13-3 after three and 16-11 after four. Meanwhile, in the fifth, A-Bow-K outscored Rt. B Cafe 5-2 for the victory.
Charlie Bronakowski picked up the win on the mound for A-Bow-K while Bryce Harris took the loss for Rt. B Cafe. Bronakowski scattered one run on two hits and one walk while striking out one batter in 2 2/3 innings. Harris, meanwhile, pitched the first-two innings and surrendered seven runs on five hits and two walks while striking out four.
Bronakowski also went 4-for-4 in the game with two singles, one double, one triple and five RBIs.
Spencer Steakley was 2-for-4 with a double, triple and three RBIs while Travis Dell added a double and one RBI, Hunter Tarr with a two-RBI single and Darious Jones with one single.
For Rt. B Cafe, Harris had two singles and two RBI while Luke Kollmeyer added two singles and one RBI, De’Andre Wesolak with one triple and three RBIs, Peyton Hahn with a RBI-single and Cameron Ray and Bret Thompson each with one single.
In games on Friday, Einspahr Construction edged Boonville Daily News 7-6 while Boonville Ready Mix throttled Rt. B Cafe 16-1.
Einspahr Construction, 2-1 on the season, trailed BDN 5-3 after two before rallying with one run in the fourth, two again in the fifth and one in the sixth for the victory.
Drew Sanders was the winning pitcher in the game for Einspahr while Chandler Stonecipher took the loss for BDN, 1-2 on the season. Sanders pitched 2/3 inning in relief and walked one batter while striking out one. Stonecipher, meanwhile, pitched 1 1/3 innings in relief and allowed three runs on five hits and one walk.
Trevionne Gardner went 3-for-4 in the game for Einspahr with three singles. Andrew Wiser and Kayle Rice each doubled while Drew Sanders and Tyson Dowell added one single and one RBI each and Colton Collyott with one single.
For BDN, Nathaniel Krebs had a single, double and two RBIs while Jacob Vossler and Drew Vossler added one single each.
In the nightcap, BRM led Rt. B Cafe 3-1 after one and 4-1 after two before exploding for 12 runs in the fourth.
Elijah Carter picked up the win on the mound for BRM while Luke Kollmeyer took the loss for Rt. B Cafe. In three innings, Carter struck out seven batters and gave up one run on two hits. Kollmeyer, meanwhile, pitched the first-three innings for Rt. B Cafe and gave up four runs on five hits and four walks while striking out two.
Bailey Quint led the hitting attack in the game for BRM with three singles, one double and two RBIs. Elijah Carter was 3-for-3 with two singles, one triple and two RBIs while Memphis Waibel added two singles and three RBIs, Adam Klein with two singles and two RBIs and Dylan Schupp with one single.
For Rt. B Cafe, Quinton Ewings, Luke Kollmeyer and Kaullin Kosnopfal each had one single.
