Moberly, MO – Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation, the regional economic development group that represents Cooper, Howard, Monroe and Randolph Counties in central Missouri has announced expanded satellite office location and service hours.
Recently Howard County joined the non-profit regional group for economic development services and as a part those services the staff of MAEDC will host office hours in two locations in Howard County. “This service is offered in the other partner counties and now will come to areas of Howard County as well,” said MAEDC Board of Directors member Kirk Biere.
Biere, who is the Howard County representative to the Board of Directors and City of Glasgow Councilman, was instrumental in securing the locations to be used as satellite offices. “We appreciate Mr. Biere’s support and the support of the local Glasgow and Fayette civic and business leaders in helping us bring this service to the community,” said Corey Mehaffy, President of Moberly Area Economic Development Corp.
Local office hours in Glasgow will be held the second Tuesday of each month from 1:30pm to 4 p.m. at the Glasgow Public Works Building located at 705 Washington Street. Hours of the Fayette location will be on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 1:30pm to 4 p.m. at the offices of Walker-Winter Insurance Agency located at 122 South Main in Fayette.
“The purpose behind having satellite locations is to be of better service to the people of the communities we serve”, said Mehaffy. “If someone is interested in starting a small business or currently is in business and is looking to expand we are here in the community to support them.”
Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation also conducts satellite hours in other communities as well. Hours for the Cooper County location are held on the first and third Thursday of each month from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Boonville City Hall located at 401 Main Street in downtown Boonville. The hours for the locations in Monroe County are in Paris at the Paris City Hall located at 112 South Main Street on the second Monday of each month from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. and in Monroe City at Monroe City Hall located at 109 Second Street on the fourth Monday of each month from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
