  • CARSTAR wins 10-7 over Infinite Creations

  • CARSTAR waited for the perfect opportunity against Infinite Creations last night in Cal Ripken Major.
    Trailing 7-4 after 4 1/2 innings of play, CARSTAR rallied back with a six runs in the top-half of the fifth for a 10-7 win against Infinite Creations.
    In the nightcap, Rick Ball Auto Mall exploded for nine runs in the third to beat QuinlanAgency.com by a score of 13-8.
    CARSTAR, 2-1 on the season, trailed IC 4-2 after one, 5-4 after three and 7-4 after four. However, in the top-half of the fifth, CARSTAR exploded for six runs to garner the victory.
    Jake Horst was the winning pitcher in the game for CARSTAR while Carter Bailey took the loss for IC, who dropped to 2-1 on the season. Horst pitched two innings in relief of starter Dylan Watson and gave up two runs on two hits and two walks while striking out two. For IC, Bailey pitched 1 2/3 innings in relief of starter Austin Kollmeyer and surrendered six runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out two.
    CARSTAR also out-hit IC 11-4, with Dylan Watson collecting one single, two doubles and three RBIs. Jake Horst had two singles and one RBI while Andrew McCullom added one double and two RBIs, Zane Mesik also with a double, Josh Polk with a single and two RBIs, Ross Hudson with a RBI-single, John Jenkins and Brayden Page each with one single and Cole Meisenheimer with one RBI.
    For IC, Austin Kollmeyer finished the game with a RBI-double while Carter Bailey also doubled and Dawson Barnthouse and Colton Scott each singled. Chris Gross and Malik Brazil also drove in one run.
    In the nightcap, QuinlanAgency.com led Rick Ball 6-2 after two. However, in the bottom-half of the third, Rick Ball rallied back with a nine spot to go up 11-6. Then, after QA.com added two more runs in the top-half of the fourth, Rick Ball came back and plated two in the bottom-half of the inning for the victory.
    Logan Zaugg was the winning pitcher in the game for Rick Ball while Cole Corbitt took the loss for QA.com. Zaugg pitched two innings in relief of starter Gabe Bullard and gave up two runs on two walks while striking out two. Corbitt, meanwhile, pitched to nine batters for QA.com and issued nine runs on five hits and three walks.
    Rick Ball also had 10 hits in the ballgame, with Trae Williams collecting three doubles and four RBIs. Peyton Keeran added a single, double and two RBIs while Logan Zaugg had a single, double and one RBI, Clint Moore with one single and two RBIs and Will Rehagen and Aaron Adams each with a RBI-single.
    For QA.com, Gabe Lorenz finished the game with a single, triple and two RBIs while Blake Vaughn and Tyler Schuster each had one double and one RBI.
