Alternative Agriculture Field Day Thursday, May 30
Lincoln University Cooperative Extension and Research (LUCER) will host the Alternative Agriculture Field Day at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Alan T. Busby Farm. The event will feature presentations and demonstrations that promote, support, and encourage sustainable and organic agriculture for small farms. Researchers and guest speakers will address organic blueberry production, integrated pest management, multispecies grazing, food waste composting, prairie restoration, hydroponics, silvopasture, and the establishment of the FINCA (Families Integrating Nature Communities in Agriculture) project. A complimentary meal will be served at 6:00 p.m.
