Boonville sophomore Brett Windsor did it again yesterday while competing in the Class 3 Sectional Golf Tournament at Innsbrook Resort Golf Course in Warrenton.
While finishing second in the district tournament last week, Windsor came back on Monday with a 10-over par 80 to finish in a six-way tie for ninth place.
Windsor will now advance to the Class 3 Missouri State Golf Championships at Sedalia Country Club on Monday and Tuesday, May 13-14 in Sedalia.
Boonville Pirates golf coach Seth Pirtle said as a sophomore this is a great accomplishment for Windsor. “I am very confident that he will shoot well at state this year,” Pirtle said. “This will be the second time this year he has played at Sedalia Country Club which I think will give him an edge.”
