Boonville — In honor of the 12th annual National Athletic Training Month, Cooper County Memorial Hospital and Clinics would like to recognize two members of its healthcare staff- certified athletic trainers.
During March, athletic trainers across America are being recognized for their commitment to helping people prevent injuries and stay healthy and active. Locally you can find our athletic trainers on the sidelines of Boonville High school football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, wrestling, tennis and track events. You can also find them providing treatment and injury prevention in the clinic or assisting with sports physicals to our area athletes.
The National Athletic Trainers Association describes, “An athletic trainer is a health care professional who collaborates with physicians to optimize activity and participation of patients and clients across the age and care continuum. Athletic training encompasses the prevention, diagnosis, and intervention of emergency, acute and chronic medical conditions involving impairment, functional limitations, and disabilities. “
Cooper County Memorial Hospital would like to salute Jennifer Hackman and Matt Rowlett for providing quality healthcare for our athletes every day.
