BHS Key Club raises money for cancer research

Boonville — On Monday, February 11, the Boonville High School Key Club held the Pink Out game to promote breast cancer awareness and raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the American Cancer Society.
The event included Pink Out T-shirt sales, a silent auction, and shoot-outs at half-time. With these events, the Key Club raised over $500 to donate to the cause. Almost 100 T-shirts were sold and the gym was full of Pink Out spirit.
The silent auction was organized by Key Club sponsor Joe Henke and included donations from: A-Bow-K, Ameren Missouri, Boonslick Industries, Inc., Carrie Lyn’s Ice Cream Parlor, Cooper County Memorial Hospital – Sport Medicine Center, Fame Auto Repair,, Kansas City Royals, MaxPreps, Raven Stone, Sonic, St. Louis Cardinals, Stan’s MFA / Kiwanis, Taylor Fry, The Blue Note, and Wilson’s Fitness. Key Clubbers Abby Brueckner, Rebecca Matteson, and Angie Carney ran the silent auction the entire night. The half-time shoot-outs were organized by Makenzie  Ficken and Bailey Pfeiffer.
