Dear Aunt Brie,
Every year, I am sure, thinking of Christmas gifts for me is hard. I do not intentionally
make it hard for everyone but I know it is dif?cult, especially when I appear so
unappreciative. The truth is, I am very grateful for every present I have ever received
but sadly my actions speak just the opposite. So this year I get the chance to express
my gratitude, thanks to an English assignment.
I've never been really sure about how you think of me as a writer. I just always strive to
be as good as you or Grunda. I hope I can accomplish that some day. However, you
must have felt drawn to my article about the building to go to such lengths on my
present. I can't tell you what the painting of the Black Diamond building means to me
and especially that you thought I was worthy of such a present. Yes, I am honored to
have a painting from such a historical memory, but what is more important to me, is you
wanted me to have it! The time and energy, not to mention expense, you incurred on
my behalf is greatly appreciated and will forever be remembered!
Your favorite nephew,
