The Ss. Peter & Paul boys sixth grade basketball team raised its season record to 3-0 by beating Pilot Grove Monday night in Pilot Grove 38-29.
The Warriors led Pilot Grove 17-14 at the half and then outscored the Tigers 21-15 in the final-two periods for the victory.
Ss. Peter & Paul coach Kevin Lang said the boys played well on both ends of the court. “Reece did a nice job pushing the ball up the court and scoring in transition,” Lang said. “Zach did a nice job on the boards. The team is meshing and looking better each game.”
Reece Lang led the Warriors with 12 points along with five rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Josh Chrisman finished the game with eight points, five rebounds, three assists and one steal while Zach Watring added eight points and 15 rebounds, Sam Esser with six points, five rebounds, three steals and one blocked shot, Kellen Brownfield with two points, seven rebounds and one blocked shot, Quin Gentry with two points and two rebounds and Landon Weaver with two rebounds and one blocked shot.
