The Boonville boys sixth grade basketball team captured the championship in the Pilot Grove Swimming Pool Tournament over the weekend by beating Full Throttle by a score of 36-10.
Boonville led Full Throttle 22-8 at the half and 26-8 after three quarters of play and then held a 10-2 advantage in the final period to win the game by 26.
Dylan Watson led the scoring attack in the game for Boonville with 10 points and 10 rebounds along with one steals, one assist and one blocked shot.
Reece Lang finished the game with eight points, two assists and one rebound while Trae Williams added four points, three rebounds, two steals and two assists, Clayton Gochenour with four points and four rebounds, Kellen Brownfield with two points, three rebounds and one steal, Zach Watring with six rebounds and one assist and Malik Brazil with four rebounds, one steal and one assist.
