While the cold weather has dampened out-door activities, Boonville is starting to boast a number of indoor ones, including chili dinners and trivia nights. Once again, the Boonville Booster Club will hold their Third Annual Trivia Night at the Isle of Capri Casino-Hotel ballroom,Saturday, February 9 at 7 p.m.
Registration is currently being held with a fee of $100 per team with a max of 10 participants. A full bar will be available and prizes will be awarded to the top teams.
This is one of the largest fundraisers for the club with proceeds benefiting the students of the Boonville School District.
The purpose of the club is to promote the type of sportsmanship that will help students to acquire the basic attributes of good citizenship, to develop a wholesome school and community spirit, to develop loyalty to the school and its interscholastic team regardless of the outcome of its competition and to promote a cooperate spirit between the student body, school officials and citizens of the community. The goal of the club is to enhance and promote the athletic opportunities for all students.
Most recent projects the club has worked on include the Gene Reagan Field, scoreboard, a pitching machine, team banners and many more items.
