The Boonville Splash girls sixth grade basketball team improved to 2-0 on the season by turning back Glasgow 22-19 Thursday night at the Hannah Cole gymnasium.
Lauren Luscombe was the leading scorer in the game for Boonville with eight points while Jacey Fenton chipped in four and Jalyn Schnetzler, Sydney Quint, Katie Cooper, Josie Robb and M.J. Goff each with two points.
Boonville Splash coach Brett Cooper said the girls did a lot better job moving the ball on offense against Glasgow.
“We had seven girls on the team with points so I’m really happy with the girls taking the ball to the basket when they had the chance,” Cooper said. “Although it was a victory it will be important for us to continue eliminating turnovers as the season progresses.”
The Boonville Splash will play next in the Pilot Grove Swim Club tournament on Sunday, Jan. 20th against New Franklin starting at 3 p.m.
